Each image pair is a best-light then D.P.'s color correction reference for the colorist. Note how the best-light images seem flat and dull. This is the image as it comes off the RED One camera and contains as much exposure and color information as possible. In contrast, Florian Stadler's CC references exhibit crushed blacks and burned highlights similar to a skip-bleach look.

We had almost uniform grey skies for the exteriors and were able to capture that detail with the RED One. However, something a bit more cheery is desired so Florian composited some representative blue sky and clouds as well.
