The Mole "Mighty" open face light delivers a very broad light
suitable for illumating large surfaces like reflectors and walls. At 2000 watts, the Mighty can still be powered by household outlets,
but be careful. Breakers serving the outlet should be rated at 20 amps
and there should be no other electrical devices, household or otherwise, on
that circuit.
AFT Mighty's are provided without a protective screen to
ease globe changes on the set. When using outdoors or any location
where bugs might be attracted to the instrument, always keep a single scrim
in front of the light. You could be charged the cleanup for bug burns
on the reflector.
Keep cloth flags, nets, and silks well away from a 2Kw
instrument. They can char and burn! Use gels and diffusion in
4x4 frames rather than attached to the barn doors
To make the best use of the Mighty (and any high-wattage fixture) with
household power, you should have some
knowledge of basic electrical calculations and on-set technique.
